Mobile Camera Lens is a phone photography blog. We review clip-on and case-mount lenses, explain what each lens type is good for, and write how-tos for getting more out of the camera you already carry.
Why phone lenses
Modern phones have excellent cameras, but they're fixed: a main camera, maybe an ultra-wide, maybe a telephoto. A good add-on lens can get you closer (macro), wider (wide-angle and fisheye) or more cinematic (anamorphic) for a fraction of the cost of a dedicated camera. A bad one just adds blur, vignetting and colour fringing. We want to help you tell the difference before you buy.
How we test
- Same scene, same phone. Every lens is shot side by side with the phone's own camera, from the same spot and in the same light, so you can see exactly what the lens adds.
- Stock camera app. We use the built-in camera app with tap-to-focus, and no editing beyond cropping, unless a review says otherwise.
- Real-world use. We look at how the lens mounts, whether it works with a case, how long it takes to put on and take off, and how it holds up in a bag.
- Clear verdicts. Reviews end with a score out of 10, who the lens is best for, and who should skip it.
